Hoover Case, of Marshfield, Missouri, had a strong influence in both real estate and auctioneering, first from his dad and later from his wife, Susan Case.
Hoover grew up on a small family farm where he first developed an interest in cattle and horses. In high school Hoover joined the Marshfield FFA and competed on a variety of teams at the area, district and state levels. After high school, Hoover attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College for two years. He then completed his degree in Animal Science at Missouri State University, in 1972.
He worked sales for various livestock publications as a “substitute” ring man when the fieldman for the publication needed help to cover sales. This opportunity led him in launching the Ozark Farmer magazine in September 1980. To give back to the purebred world and to youth, Hoover helped develop “Brangus for Kids”, in 1990, a mentoring program that connected youth with potential show animals from Brangus breeders in the State of Missouri.
For the last 36 years, Hoover has been heavily involved with Santa Gertrudis, Beefmaster-Brangus, Simbrah and other “Eared” breeds, auctioneering purebred sales from Texas to Florida. A highlight of his career include selling the King Ranch 150th Anniversary sale in 2003.
All of this experience has led Hoover to knowing the people, knowing the land and knowing ‘every side of the coin’. Hoover loves to see people gain assets to build their family legacy on. If you need to buy or sell a home, have a land, equipment, or livestock auction, there is no one more excited or qualified to help you on that endeavor.
